2. Exercise Needs Are Real

Plan on daily aerobic exercise plus brain work. Adult SWDs typically thrive on 60 to 90 minutes broken into sessions.

Puppies need shorter, frequent outings and controlled play to protect growing joints.

3. The Coat Is Not Brushed

This is a single, curly, woolly coat. You do not brush it out like a doodle or poodle mix.

Traditionally, the coat is clipped down once or twice a year and allowed to grow evenly.
