Editorial Guidelines
The Pets and Love exists to help pet owners give their animals a happier, healthier life. That responsibility only means something if the information we publish is accurate, honest, and easy to act on. These are the standards every article on this site is held to.
Who writes our content ๐๏ธ
Every article is written under a named author and reviewed by our editor before it is published. You can always see who wrote a piece in the byline at the top of the page, and read their background on their author page:
- Sviatoslav Oleksiv โ Founder & Editor
- Judith Aleguen โ Pet Care Writer & Editor
How we research and write โ
- We draw on hands-on experience with our own pets and rescues, and cross-check factual claims (breed traits, health, nutrition) against reputable veterinary and breed-authority sources.
- We write in plain language. Pet care can be complicated; our job is to make it understandable without dumbing it down.
- We are transparent about opinion versus fact, and we disclose when a post contains affiliate links or sponsored content.
Accuracy and corrections ๐ ๏ธ
We review our articles periodically and update them when guidance, products, or facts change โ the โUpdated onโ date on each article reflects its most recent revision. If you spot something that looks wrong or out of date, please tell us at our contact page and we will look into it promptly.
Our health disclaimer โ๏ธ
Our content is for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a licensed veterinarian with any questions about your pet's health or before making changes to their diet, medication, or care.
Independence ๐ค
Editorial decisions are made independently of any advertiser or affiliate partner. A product is never recommended simply because it earns us a commission โ recommendations reflect what we genuinely believe is good for your pet.
